A distinct possibility, especially if Redcloak finds him before Belkar does. If Belkar does find him though, we've options.

1)Belkar, being Belkar, abuses his corpse a bit, but then takes him back to the castle, where he can be raised.

2) Belkar, being Belkar, leaves him there, where, as mentioned, he stands a good chance of being found and reanimated by the bad guys.

3) Possibly Belkar has no impact at all, in which case the pendant might indead break, in which case we'll see what Celia does with her dead boyfriend in the middle of an epic battle she had no idea was going on until just then.

I think the proper term is "sylph" or however you spell that.
