Part 2: Lair of the Vile and Vicious

Once the heal situation is resolved, Malorix wanders back to the other room to see what the fuss is about. Upon learning of the (probable) beast behind the door, he fall into position and makes ready the healing.

EDIT: Malorix notices that the mongrelwoman isn't quite dead, but will be within a minute or so. Seeing as she's evil, he's not overly concerned, but does mention the fact to the group.

Seeing that everyone is in position, Daveed throw's open the door.

as the door opens a giant [Medium] lizard lurches out the door before taking an arrow to it's right forelimb, acid in the jaw, and tripping over it's injured leg, falling to the ground asleep.

Malorix kinda fells bad for the lizard, and puts it down quickly. (CDG for 24 damage)

Epicette asks for Gwerm to come into room H4 so they can blockade the flank before pressing down into the lower level. She then start dragging the unconscious mongrelman he was guarding into the room.

( Note: the rope ladder down is DC-10; climbing down using accelerated climb (-5 climb) takes only 1 move action, 2 otherwise; jumping down takes 1d6 damage and lands prone unless you have high enough acrobatics [DC15] )

Gwerm stands dumbfounded for a moment at how quickly you are dispatching the enemies, rubbs his eyes once and then follows Epicette into H4.

"Sounds good. Hey, I know. How about we drop this big dead lizard down the hole first? They already know we're here, and it might set off any traps they have waiting for us. What do you think?"

[Mr_Praetorian]

"It might work. We could also drop it right before we move in, perhaps to soak up some of their fire."

Daveed takes a moment to consider, looking over the lizard's body, before resuming.

"Here's the plan. Mallorix and I will drop the lizard's body into the hole, and then climb down. When we've hit the ground and have formed a defensive position, we'll give the signal for Sir Cernandlon, then Henric, and then Epi to climb down and join the fight. We'll be sure to bar the door leading out of the room with the rope ladder to ensure Mr. Gwerm's safety, and to protect ourselves from outflanking maneuvers.

Gwerm looks at Millorn. "What about him?"

"Sounds like a plan Let's do it." Malorix grabs the back half of the lizard and prepares to heft it on Daveed's mark.

"Right, Millorn. Millorn follow behind Epi, forming our rearguard."

[Squall255]

"Yeah I can do that. Actually, why don't you let me levitate that corpse down? It'll give those mongrels a real scare! hahaha!" Millorn says.

"Or... that works too. Say, doesn't one of us have a Scale that can do that?"

Millorn looks offended. "I wouldn't offer to do something I couldn't do." he says gruffly. "I said I could levitate it, so I can levitate it."
