Part 1: The Fall of Kenabres

Henric takes a 5' step back to L7 with extreme prejudice before trying this whole acid glob thing again.

As Henric incants a few words over his acid bottle and unleashes a glob of acid at the last roach, it squeals, wriggles for a few more steps and then flips on it's back, dead.

Combat is over, what do you do now?

As with the maggots, Daveed gives the heads of the roaches a good stab and twist. He then searches the camp for anything of interest.

Reloading her crossbow and retrieving her owl Reverie back onto her shoulder, Epicette steps over to look around the other exit (east side one) to the chamber...

If the way is longer than darkvision sight and nothing is within the 60ft range, she picks up a rock, casts Light on it, and tosses it down the hall.

it's time for loot! As Daveed searches through the refuse, he finds the following: a torn bedroll, 3 candle stubs (30 mins burn time each), a bent fishhook, 10 ft of badly frayed hemp rope, and a copper brooch depicting a bat perched on a mushroom. Both of the bat's eyes are tiny amethysts.

Also: for slaying the roaches, you get 100XP each! (980/2000)

Dai: after about 50ft, the cavern bends just enough to block your sight,continuing about as wide as the path that you took to get to your current location.

Daveed takes the items he finds and stuffs them into his pack (sans bedroll).

"Other than a strange amulet and a bent fishhook, there's not much see here. Are we ready to head out?"

"Yeah, I'm good. Anybody recognize that amulet? Is it just shinies for us or is it significant somehow?"

Daveed holds out the amulet so that others may see it.

It does not appear to be a religious symbol that you can tell. (you can try a Know [Local] if you want )

Epicette takes a brief look at the thing... and casts Detect Magic on it.

(I was a tad more worried about it belonging to the noble we have with us. Don't want to go ganking potential family heirlooms with him right there. Of course, that he hasn't said anything yet says something.)

"We'll hold on to it until the matter is settled." Daveed comments, returning the amulet to his pack.

None of the npc's recognize it "I'd never get anything so distasteful," Horgus says.

You continue about 80 ft down the tunnel you come across another slightly larger cavern. Several mounds of rock lie in heaps in this cavern, recently fallen from the walls and ceiling. Now and then, bits of dust settle from cracks in the stone above.

Shortly after moving into the area, Daveed raised his hand once more so as the halt the group.

"I think I see some sort of scaled creature ahead," he whispered, "tread carefully."

Daveed then resumed moving forward, though slower, with his shield raised defensively.
