Mission 1 Postmission Interlude

Shigeru's bomb barely manages to strike the first Red, but it still landed upon its should and exploded, with a secondary piece bouncing off to the rightmost Red and hitting at precisely the location where Katsurou's glaive had just opened a major wound...

The leftmost Red waved his giant mace broadly while glaring down at Yuuta, its fierce glare and the air pressure brought about by its swings sent a chill through Yuuta as he imagine just how many bones wound be crushed if he was hit by that (demoralize check vs. DC25 [8lvl+3wis+4aura], Yuuta is shaken for 3 rounds). Although thankfully, Yuuta managed to dodge the follow-up attack without much issue.

The middle Red also attempted to frighten Daisuke, but the warrior hardly even noticed. It then swung at the badly-wounded Daisuke, only to be deflected off to the side by his tilted shield. Afterwards it took a step back, preparing to extinguish the fires that are starting to really hurt...

The rightmost Red, critical injured with three arrows stuck in it and flames spreading across its wounds, decided it had enough and ran from the melee (withdraw action)... only to have its spot filled again as the Red from the back moved up to take a swing at Katsurou, its mace managing to smash through Katsurou's attempt to block by sheer strength and landing a painful hit (50 bludgeoning damage).

Terasaka pauses to assess the movements of the red in front of him and Yuuta, then takes a vicious swipe at the creature's exposed neck, attempting to decapitate it with a single powerful strike.

He then steps back to N16, moving to reinforce Katsurou while he recovers his balance (Swift action recover).

Terasaka maintains absolute silence during the entire round.

Katsurou takes the hit, though grievous, unflinchingly, and turns to face his new target with a steeled gaze. "Hold the Line!"

[Dave, that's exactly what I did. The DC was posted just in case you wanted to point out something I missed in my calc =P. So yes, you're shaken]

Terasaka's halberd axeblade smashed into the Red's neck and cleanly severed the creature's head, leaving a bloody stump of a neck that sprayed blood into the air, which covered both Yuuta and Terasaka's upper bodies with splatterings of it, before the body collapsed under it.
[Some of the blood stayed in the air as the word "FATALITY" appeared in crimson...]

Katsurou's glaive also strikes the Red before him, although the new attacker (with burn marks from Shigeru's bomb) wasn't bothered much by its wounds yet.

Yuuta manages the same for the Blue next to him, although the light strike was barely a fresh wound for the tough foes.

As the two Blues on the right flanked around the allies' front line, Yumi turned her bow and fired three arrows into the first one (B3). All three struck true and the Blue gave an anguished cry of pain...

Daichi stepped up as the two brothers tilted their front towards the right, and both of them then thrusted forth with their spears while continuing to take a defensive stance. Daisuke's missed, but Daichi's pierced Red2's flesh and inflicted yet another wound...


Blue1 struck out against Yuuta with both fists, who managed to dodge one but was struck directly by the other (30 damage).
Blue5 stood back up from the ground (Katsurou: Attack of Opportunity 1) before making a lunge for Katsurou, but missed completely.
Blue3 charged towards Yumi past Katsurou (Katsurou: Attack of Opportunity 2; you have Combat Reflexes but this'll cost your move action next rnd), but she completely sidestepped the punch it threw...
Blue4 then moved to B3's left side and attacked her as well, and this time she wasn't able to dodge in time as the fist slammed into her from the side.
Blue2 moved up to the line on the left flank...

Shigeru's bomb lands directly on the torso of Red3, but its bounced main fragment flew at a high arc that was dodged by the other Red oni.

Red2 took a step back (into shadowy illumination) and busied itself putting out the fires caused by Shigeru's bombs.

Red3 glared down at Katsurou (demoralize vs. DC24 [8+2feat+4morale]) while hammering its mace into the ground besides him; the powerful shock of its impact brought fresh pains from the wound inflicted just seconds ago and caused Katsurou to start shaking (Shaken: 4 rounds). The Red then lifted the large mace and slammed it towards Katsurou, who managed to block the attack with some effort (Guard).

In the distance you could see the runaway Red extinguish the flames that was burning away his already bloodied hide, but it was also teetering on the brink of collapse and made no sign of wanting to return to the battle...

Terasaka moves up to Q17, slashing at the B3 with his halberd without slowing as he ran past to Q19 to reinforce Yumi and Shigeru.

Yuuta hits the Blue before him again, although the light injury he inflicted didn't seem to have much effect. (You really need Sneak attack dmg)

Terasaka's halberd however, cut halfway through the already-staggering Blue3's torso before being pulled out, and the target fell to the ground while spraying blood all around itself.

Yumi takes a step back and fires another three arrows against the Blue before her, and Blue4 yells in pain as all three strike the target, inflicting heavy wounds.

Daichi and Daisuke both shifted one step towards Katsurou to form up a line, and then took up a defensive stance... Daichi taking care to guard his injured brother, while Daichi covering Katsurou with his heavy shield.

Blue2 joined Blue1 as it closed in on Yuuta, and both of them threw out their fists against him... Yuuta managed to dodge 3 of the attacks and guard against the 4th with his weapon.
Blue4 switches his gaze to Terasaka and attacks. The first strike missed, but the second landed a direct hit on his shoulder, although it would have taken his head off if his attempt to block the attack didn't at least partially deflect it (Guard prevented critical confirmation)(35 damage).
Blue5 attacks Katsurou, and misses both times...

Shigeru whirls around and launches a bomb to J14!

Shigeru's bomb manages to hit both of the Blues, leaving them heavily injured with all the other hits they've taken. Blue2 particularly looks as if it were on the verge of collapse...

Red2 steps up and took 2 swings with its mace at Daichi, who managed to easily dodge and deflect them both.
Red3 also launches two swings towards Katsurou, who barely managed to Guard against the first attack with his glaive, even with Daisuke's help. However, he easily dodged the second.
