well that's what happens to troops after all their commanders either died or fled the city.
this reminds me of the battle of Nanjing. Most of the officers fled the night before and morale broke as soon as the east gate was overran... a 3day massacre followed.
I wonder what happened to Belkar. Roy I presume got himself crushed even more under the stampede

That does beg the question: Hinjo was AT the southern wall, he can't possibly have missed this. And battle manuevers of that magnitude take time to execute. What the hell has Hinjo been up to this whole time?

well Drew it's too hard to keep it together since the source of the problem has already happened with no reversibility - all the nobles ditched their honor and fled. Not exactly good example for all the commoners.
Hinjo is probably still trying to clear the walls, he's in the south while I think the breach is in the north wall (looking back when Rich drew the entire field in one panel).
yeah I'm definitely more interested in the ghosts. The sapphire guards can determine the entire outcome of the battle with ease.
