The gnoll ranger took a surprising amount of damage, and a second Transfer Wounds was needed from Goodberry. It did, however, bring the ranger up to exactly full health, who voiced his thanks over the collective. He continues to keep his head down from the archers outside, instead killing a drow that already entered the fort with a fire arrow.

Gorin receives a bewildered glance from the badly injured drow next to him.

Ahz's burst of glitter leaves 3 of the drow blinded. Their leader ('DO') however was unaffected, other than scowling at the fact he was now sparkling.

The north ballista shoots, and Ahz/Goodberry could see from atop the keep as a bolt impales DO's shoulders, leaving him badly wounded. However the victory was short-lived as DO raises his rod towards the north tower (before moving south), and through the moonlight one could see Black Tentacles erupting from the ground and writhing toward the skies. The screams of the tower's garrison could be heard in the darkness as they struggled against the crushing appendages the spell summoned, plus more arrows that soared out of the night.

Leah steps out from behind Gorin to have a better target at the drow [5ft move to AX27]. Riding the high of successfully channeling not entirely her own [Surging Euphoria from the successful surge], Leah lashes out with a Surge Blast against the drow in front of her. Then she goes on to immediately refocus herself.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 (Surging Euphoria) = 22 vs touch. Damage: 2d6 = 3.

Seeing the drow pummeled into the wall and broken [Thank you], Leah orders her Astral Construct to advance towards the tunnel and plug it up, potentially punching whatever drow is there in the face.

Attack: 1d20 + 12 = 20. Damage: 1d6 + 10 = 13.


Effects:
Force Screen (AC +4, 29 rounds)
Surging Euphoria (+1 morale to attack, damage, saves, 2 rounds)
4th-level Astral Construct (+4 AC, 7 rounds)

Leah murders a drow minion. Her astral construct advances up to the tunnels and notices that all 3 are full of more drow warriors moving in. It blocks off one of the tunnels and... tries to punch the lead drow but doesn't quite make contact.

At Adoett's signal, the gnoll manning the Firedrake slams its trigger, and a cone of flames pour of its nozzle. 2 of the drow were roasted outright. 2 more managed to dodge the bulk of the flames, but their sustained injuries left them barely standing. Some of the flames then bounced and flooded into the tunnels, and 2 drow soon ran out, screaming in pain with their bodies on fire. Both of them sank to their knees almost as soon as they entered the courtyard, their endurance exceeded by the painful burns.

Three of the laborers began reloading the Firedrake, while Adoett moved up to block the way and the ogres lining up behind him.

The gnolls atop the Keep shifts the Springal back into position and cries to Ahz: "ready!"

One of the drow that barely survived ran up to attack Adoett (attack of opportunity)

The other one stabbed at Leah's Astral Construct with a rapier, but merely bounced off its deflective armor. However the drow still inside the tunnel does score a hit on the Construct ( 7 pierce damage )

The gnolls behind Gorin reload their crossbows and unload another volley. They manage 1 hit and 1 crit this time, killing the drow on the AC's flank and badly injuring the one in the tunnel.

More drow rush out of the left hand tunnels, stepping over their dead comrades' burning bodies. Two of them move up to Adoett and attack him. One misses, but the other stabs his rapier into an artery ( 13 piercing damage )

Three drow managed to scale up the outer walls with grappling hooks.

Three of the drow at the rear, noticeably blinded by Ahz's Glitterdust, began to grope about and retreat (with a fourth trying to help his friend). However two 'warning' shots soon came from the darkness outside the keep, which murders one of the retreating drow. A stern voice bellowed in their tongue: "death to cowards! turn and fight!"

( Ahz : remember that due to the outer walls' height, you can only see [direct fire] squares at least 20ft out from the outer walls )

Ahz fires a springal shot at square AW17 (I should have direct LoS to that by my approximation and that should be exactly 100').

(Advantage: takeHighest(2d20 [4,12]) + 3 (BAB) + 7 (Knowledge [Engineering]) - 4 (non-proficient) + 2 competence (Heightened Awareness) + 2 (Sudden Insight) + 1 Enhancement = 23)

Goodberry, not having anyone in need of healing at the moment, decides to throw one of the alchemic bombs left up by the Springal. Not trusting his aim, he hurls it at the square labeled 'B' expecting to miss and not wanting to hit allies.

Attack: 1d20+2(BAB)+2(Dex)-4(~55ft out = 2 range increments) = 17+0=17

No direct target, so splash of 4 damage in 10ft radius?

4d6 damage just incase: 1+1+3+4 = 9

The drow that Adoett missed stabs him with a rapier (3 piercing damage)

Ahz's 3rd springal shot (in this battle) finally lands exactly where he aimed, and badly wounds all three of the drow in the rear.

Goodberry's bomb lands on the target space, not hitting anything directly but splashing 6 (+4 more in tunnels) drow with an explosion of alchemic fire. The badly wounded drow that just attacked Adoett finally falls, succumbing to his wounds.

The gnoll ranger (Gr1) steps back from the drow that just scaled up the walls and lands a solid shot on the enemy (AS21) at point-blank range, almost kill him.

The only bloodied cries could be heard from the north ballista tower.

DO levitates up the outer wall, until Gorin, Leah, and Adoett could see this drow leader for the first time. He wore no armor but a layer of semi-solid shadows seem to wrap around his body. He looks up at the Keep, and began to chant a spell (Ahz and Goodberry both recognize it as some modified version of Summon Swarm).

( I messed up the init order a bit; Gorin should actually go before Gr1; but I don't think any of the actions above would affect the situation around him )

Gorin continues his musical tale of valorous last stands and gives orders to the gnoll laborers to focus their fire on the drow leader while pulling out his own weapon to take a shot.

(Free action to sustain raging song, move action to pull out composite bow, attack vs DO)

1d20+6= 26 (8 confirm); 1d8+2= 7 [magic, piercing]

Adoett manifests a (reskinned Fire only with GM permission to fit Chef theme) defensively at 5PP

Concentration check: 1d20+8 = 17+8 = 25 pass.

Damage: 5d6=10 Fire damage, Reflex DC 16 for half to all creatures that end their turn in his space, or adjacent to him.

As a Move action, he plants his shield in the lower right corner of his square (both faces of AQ23) with Mobile Bulwark style.

Leah orders her Construct to punch the drow in front of it again:

Attack: 1d20 + 12 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 10 = Yeah nope.

Meanwhile she thinks it best not to let the drow officer finish that spell. She sends out a surge blast and then refocuses herself.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 (Surging Euphoria) = 8. I shit you not.

"Ahz, [Gnoll in south tower], generate some healing! Drink a heal potion." Goodberry calls over the telepathic net. He drops the Gnoll on the wall from his collective (Free action) and adds the wounded Ogre (Standard action).

Diplomacy: 1d20+5 = 6(nat1)

Goodberry uses his swift action to get Current/Max HP totals from all members of his collective (PC's, Wounded Ogre 1, and South Tower Gnoll Ranger) as per his Health Sense ability.

Wounded:
Ogre 1: 2/40 HP
Adoett: 14/38 HP

Unable to shoot the springal right now, Ahz raises his staff and channels power into it, aiming a blast of force at the drow spellcaster.
(Powerful Bolt for 2 charges, sacrificing either a 1st or 2nd level spell slot (1st level if distance is 35-55', 2nd level of 56-75') [lemee know which i had to sacrifice so I can update sheet]
(Auto hits, 1d4+10 Force damage = 12 damage)

GM: you'll need a 2nd level spell; estimate range of ~70ft

The gnoll ranger that Goodberry called upon didn't seem terribly impressed by his demand to drink expensive supplies for someone else's gain. He drank a cheap CLW potion instead, redirecting 7HP over to the Ogre.

Ahz's bolt of force strikes DO and disrupts his spellcasting efforts, as well as leaving him critically wounded.

Gorin shoots DO again and sees his arrow bounce off the shadowstuff armor.

Gr1 shoots another flaming arrow into the drow near him, killing his opponent and hurling the body back down the walls.

DO casts a healing spell on himself, recovering from much of his wounds almost instantly.

Thanks to his low-light vision + the sunrod that Gr1 threw outside the walls, Ahz could see four more drow (with longbows) moving up outside. With the four-arrow volleys from earlier in mind, this was most likely the support fire group.
