Chapter 0: Summons to Bavara

Athaulf double moves up to J10.

"Blast!" Faerevar swears, and he hustles to catch up to Athaulf.

Just as Athaulf begins to close on the tower doors, they both slam shut, followed by what sounds like them being braced.

Satella hears more crashing, then silence.

(Dai, its your go).

Satella moves to where the hatch ladder climbs up onto the tower's top (K4?, J3?) and scatters a bag of caltrops onto the floor

(You're actually already as high as you can go, as that hatch leads downwards (my bad for not clarifying), so we'll say there's now a bunch of caltrops down on the next level down).

Athaulf takes a 5-foot step up to J9 and attempts to smash the door apart with his hammer.

(The ladder climbs 10ft downwards to the 4th level of the tower. You are presently in the guard level, or the 5th level).

Worn by age and weather, the doors to the tower didn't stand much of a chance against Athaulf's assault. With the first strike, the door was wrought asunder, crashing into several pieces as the rusted iron binding cracked and failed. With the second, the the fracture of a wooden beam that was used to brace it was likewise destroyed. Splinters and shards of metal hit the ground, and cloud of dust flew into the night. Shortly thereafter, a Faerevar approached the door, bow strung and issued a warning thus, "You've nowhere to run! Face justice with the same arrogance that you sealed your fate!"

Faerevar's voice echoed into the tower, but to no response.

Satella activates her invisibility, and then pulls open the hatch so she could see down the ladder.

Satella sees the fourth floor below her, just as empty as it was when she first passed through it. Her consideration is abruptly interrupted by an even larger crashing sound from down below, followed by a muffled voice yelling out something about justice.

Athaulf can hear something moving up the steps on the next level up, trying to be stealthy, but not quite successfully. He can also see inside the tower, which is surprisingly well lit. From his position he can see the end of a long table and torn rug beneath. There's also a broken weapon rack directly across from him.

Athaulf advances into the tower and follows Jonas up the stairs.

Athaulf and Faerevar both proceeded into the tower, albeit the latter as much more guarded pace, and began to make their way up the steps. Coming up the steps, Atahalf notices a wall to his left, and his pretty certain that the entrance to the next level from the steps is via a hallway (a typical defensive feature in similar large towers). He also begins to hear a slight hissing sound coming from the next level.

Satella readies her crossbow down the hatch, prepared to fire a shot once she spots someone hostile
