A thread for this was missing.
Since I have to rebuild my character due to the new restrictions, here's some ideas I'm tossing around in my head:
<some race> Magus (from the magus playtest)
Inquisitor

Now that all players have been gathered severally unto these boards, a question I have for the lot of thee: Do you want to begin the game as an established adventuring party, or would you rather that the slick hand of fate bring you together?

I frankly don't mind either way. Fate-gathered does have its opportunities in character development, but takes long to start off--- up to you based on how RP-heavy you want this I guess :3 (also influences how much I should invest in the backstory design)

Also, I'd like to wrap up making up characters by the end of this weekend. Preferably.
It's not like the dungeon will fall on you if you don't.
Maybe...

Drew: since we're getting character traits - how many? any campaign / regional restrictions (assuming we can work it into backstory) ?

Everyone gets two traits, and, for that matter, also begins with 1 Hero Point.

Since you noted we can still use the huge pool of available 3.5 spells, here are some requests on additions to the alchemist list (only from SpC thus far):
Level 1: Appraising Touch [SpC:Sor/Wiz], Camouflage [SpC:Druid], Ebon Eyes [SpC:Sor/wiz], Healthful Rest [SpC:Bard/Clr], Serene Visage [SpC:Sor/Wiz], Vigor (Lesser) [Spc:Clr/Druid]
Level 2: Protection from Negative Energy [SpC:Clr], Reflective Disguise [SpC:Sor/Wiz]
Level 3: Reverse Arrows [SpC:Sor/Wiz], Vigor [Spc:Clr/Druid]
Level 4: Panacea [SpC:Clr], Resistance (Greater) [SpC:Sor/Wiz]
Level 5: Vigor (Greater) [SpC:Clr/Druid]
Level 6: Resistance (Superior) [SpC:Sor/Wiz]
these should all follow the trends established by alchemist extracts thus far.
there's one more I'd request, but this one is hard to place since it's from the assassin/ranger list: lvl3 spell Find The Gap
On another note, I will have diplomacy after all xD

Those spells look fine to me. As for Find the Gap, let's go with Alchemist Level 4 for now.

Important Reminder: Again I stress that while extensive backstories are not necessary, they will likely result in many useful perks such as:
Bonus XP
Bonus Starting Gold
Custom Abilities/Items that can only be gained through service to organizations.
...and much, much more!
Make no mistake, the vast majority of this adventure will take place within the depths of a dungeon, but there also be time a-plenty for character development and sidequests. Not to mention that if we can finish the dungeon delve, there is the chance we'll continue the campaign.
----
Also, for those of you who obsess over planning out your character's statistics, I've done made some adjustments and calculations. You should expect, at minimum, to reach 16th level by the conclusion of the adventure. Those who put in more work could very well make it 17th and very close to 18th.
----
Finally, I'm setting a proper date for finishing characters. Your character must be stat'd out by Monday night. Your character's complete backstory must be finished by the following Monday.
Cheers

major character changes made:
*switched race from human to half-elf, swapped some skills about and finally realized I have a +2 stat bonus
*switching weapon to meteor hammer, trading ranged feats for Combat Reflexes & Agile Maneuvers
*added Goggles of Foefinding ability to goggles
*added Gauntlets of Extended Throwing ability to gloves
the changes should allow my character to be a lot better at close-combat support: long reach to provide both active defense with AoOs and supportive attacks from behind the front row tanks (deliver poison, disarm, trip); getting relevation crystal to point out invisibiles and goggles of foefinding allow attacks to ignore cover (especially from allies in the way)...

As you'll all notice, this thread is now located in our brand new game data forum. Meaning that everyone get's their very own character thread.

Your characters will begin the adventure with no prior acquaintance to each other. Make sure you backstories don't include working with anyone else prior to this adventure.
However, as a courtesy, you may still design your characters with some "inadvertent synergy" in mind.

So yeah, now we have to figure out why our characters know each other and why they are working together. Ideas?
