I gotta look at Artificer, but may go artificer fighter. I'm looking at a character who is kinda like a blacksmith, who built his own custom guns.

I'd like to use the renaissanse pistol range damage and crit (DMG), and the "modern" revolver reload stats(also DMG)

Sorry, too advanced. I'm only going say this one more time: Guns are allowed, but very, very primitive ones. The concept of firing more than one bullet in a few seconds is almost alien, as most pistols still run the chance of jamming after their first shot.

Also, I have to warn you that the chances of you having the weapon you are choosing to specialize it may be slim in the first parts of the game. The minute you were forced into the facility, your personal items were taken, and (just to make this clear), there is no freakin way that a character at your level would be a ble to forge firearms out of what is availible to you in the scrapyard. So, what worries me, is that you spend all this time specializing in firearms, and not be able to use them for a really, really long time.

But, hey man, your character, your call.

okay....now the big decision for that bonus feat i get...

Skill Focus [Diplomacy] to make it easier to retrieve my spells (Check is currently at +20-(2*spell level) for arcane spells I know, +18-(2*spell level) for arcane spells I don't know, and +18-6-(2*spell level) for divine spells)

Storm Bolt. Its the electricity reserve feat. +1 to CL of electricity spells

Spell Focus [Evocation]. should be obvious.

of course i could be tempted to change my focus to fire, in which case Storm Bolt becomes Fiery Burst.

For those who suggested that I take Clap of Thunder (Sonic reserve feat), its a melee touch attack, and since its not a spell I can't use my familiar to deliver it. So nix that idea.

Squall, dont go for guns. Make an artificer that can repair.
