Everyone made the save except Enlali. Enlali is blinded for one hour. Still need a readied action from Niles, and Enlali's regular action.

"Oh, fuck!" Enlali cursed, suddenly encased in darkness. She braces behind her bardiche, knowing that if she swung, she'd likely have one less new friend. "I can't see!" she shouted, blinking to try and regain her vision.

Stepping back slightly, Manizei begins reloading her musket, the time this takes being a real drawback to her chosen weapon.

Niles fires another arrow towards the creature.

The party's attempts at impromptu Galtan cooking pay off, and the frog-like creature falls under the combined might of Manizei, Harskgun, and Niles. 600 XP. Enlali remains blinded until an hour has passed. The creature wears the tattered remains of a hood and collar. The latter has some writing on it. (Nobody seems to be able to speak Undercommon, but a decent Linguistics check reveals that it simply says "Pet.") Given time to inspect it, Emma dimly recalls the creature as having been a pet of the skulks, which escaped some time ago.

It can be determined that the creature came from the large cave to the east. Furthermore, the stalagmite forest in which Emma has been hiding seems to have another resident: a deceased female half-orc. Someone give me knowledge: Local checks. Thanks to Emma's experiences with this individual, you'll get a +2 bonus on that check.

Harskgun recognizes Parda Garr instantly. The popular brawler had fallen in with a questionable crowd, and as many had predicted, it seems to have been the end of her. Almost everyone in Torch called her a friend, and many a resident would be glad to see her extracted and buried properly.

(Sooner or later you're going to pass through this next cave anyway, and you've already killed the monster. I'm just gonna go ahead and give you the loot.)

The next cave is a large one, with the stream you came in by terminating in a small lake. It does not take much examination of the refuse around here to conclude that this was the frog-creature's lair. Floating in the lake you find the half-eaten remains of one of the thugs who led poor Parda astray, with the following loot:

-42 GP
-2 potions of cure moderate wounds
-Funny silver amulet (worth about 25 GP) that kinda resembles a pickaxe. Knowledge:Religion check to identify.

There's a large passage to the south, and the creek leading back around north of the stalagmite forest to where you came in. Emma dimly recalls her old party's last stand being around there somewhere.

"That's Parda Garr! How in the name of Torag's forge did she end up down here?" Harskgun asks, wondering who those thugs who she had fallen in with really were.
