Drawing his understanding of linguistics, Niles tries to piece together what was being yelled.

(Niles doesn't speak Undercommon, but it does use the Elven Alphabet, which he knows.

(Alphabets? This isn't Forgotten Realms, Drew. Pathfinder's language system isn't *quite* that intensive. You want to work out the world's alphabets, and which language uses which, be my guest.

Niles doesn't quite get the exact words, but based on tone, body language, and the fact that she's running away from a group of heavily armed intruders, she appears to be attempting to raise the alarm.

(Actually, Golarion Undercommon is explicitly stated as being descended from Elven. "Undercommon: Descended from Elven but incorporating certain Orvian words, the drow-created tongue called Undercommon expands upon certain specific areas of its mother tongue’s vocabulary while ignoring others." - Inner Sea World Guide, page 251. Nothing specifically about alphabet, but its a logical assumption.)

Niles notes the dwarf's appearance with sigh of assurance but then notices the distinct lack of halfling.

"Where's Emma?" He asks Harskgun pointedly.

Manizei stopos before netering the carven, and reaches out a hand to try and stop Enali from rushing forwards any further.
"If there's anyone here,@ she says softly. @They know about us now. Let's just back up and wait for the others to catch up with us now."

Enlali furrows her brow. "They know about us, but they haven't attacked yet." She props her bardiche against the ground and doesn't move forward.

No one has gone into the cave. A brief whispered conversation can be heard, followed by a voice in badly accented Taldan. "Fine, you want to talk? Whoever's in charge, and one other, step forward. And no funny business."

(End combat order. For now.)

"I'm not a proper negotiator, but my skills as a linguist may be of some help." Niles says quietly to the group.

(Readying to "step up" if a second person does not).

Fixing her bardiche to her back, Enlali says, "I can go if ya want. Maybe we didn't start off great, but I did get us this far."

"I can negotiate with them," Manizei announces, shouldering her rifle. "I mean no offence, Enali, but perhaps Niles and I would be more suited to this task?"

Shrugging, Enlali says, "Chase one person down a hallway and suddenly everyone's a critic." Then grinning adds, "You guys go for it."
