Niles responds by backing up and shooting the creature with his crossbow.

Niles feels some momentary numbness, but quickly snaps out of it. Both bullet and bolt land hits upon the drone, but it's still going strong.

The drone spouts some static and sticks Harskgun with its injector-claw things. Harskgun takes 9 damage and needs to make a fortitude save.

PCs are up.

Harskgun returns the drone's stab with a stab of his own! "Get off of me you chunk of metal!"
(Attack: 1d20+8 = 14)
(Damage: 1d6+4 = 10 piercing, is magic, ignores all DR and Hardness of objects and constructs)

Much like Niles, Manizei backs away, reloading her musket.

The robot attacks Harskgun again. (10 damagae and a Fortitude save.)

PCs are up.

Niles fires another shot at the creature/thing.

Harskgun shifts back and calls upon Torag's powers to heal himself.

Likewise, Manizei empties her musket into the creature.

I'm not even going to require a check to tell you that going anywhere near the bloodstained beds with sharp objects moving over them in random directions is a bad idea.

The room is in pretty bad shape, but was once a functional medical lab, and may serve as such again given a little TLC.

One terminal still functions, and has logs of a "patient" being worked on not about the same time Khonnir went missing. You can't quite make out what his "operation" entailed, but the records state that afterward, this patient was "placed in medical stasis" in what you think may be the room out the door and to the south.

Niles does that thing where he taps frantically on the pad below terminal to see if he can learn anything more. (Engineering: 1d20+10+1d6= 23)

After staring intensely at the screen for a minute or so, he looks back at his comrades and says, simply, "We need to hurry."

Manizei nods her agreement, reloading her musket. "Indeed. If we're all ready to move on? I'd rather not linger here too long."

Right. On to the southern room.

A row of beds sit along the southern wall of this well-lit room. Glowing screens and metal desks sit on opposite walls, and splatters of blood adorn the floor and a few of the beds (not as bad as the last room, but still.) To the east, a large metal device the size of a large bed hums softly.

Two robots are stationed here. One looks like the medical drone you just fought, while the other hover in the air on small rotors. They don't seem happy to see you. Roll initiative.
