Part 1: The Crusader's March

Malorix determines, between his talks with the patient and relevant skill checks, that the spell Remove Disease will clear that right up. Also, Aron may need, for lack of a better word, counseling, to ensure that this doesn't happen again. He recalls Aron mentioning something about Sosiel having that spell, and asks him about getting that cast.

Those interested/involved with the Nurah decision gather in the command tent that evening (Unless requested otherwise the following NPC's are there: Aron, Irabeth, Sosiel, Aravashnial) Anevia is coordinating watches and helping guard Nurah if she is not present.

(PC Decisions: Who's showing up among you? Is Nurah present for the deliberation? If so is she gagged/silenced or allowed to speak?)

(Prior to the final meeting, Daveed takes a moment to use Detect Evil on Nurah, to see how strong her aura actually is).

Daveed is there, and has Nurah remain gagged elsewhere (and under guard) until such a time as she is called to speak.

Malorix can't shake the feeling that some complication will arise, and wants to keep an eye on Aron for medical reasons, and so will be attending as well, commanders permitting.

Daveed has no objections.

Epicette will be there.

Henric will be there, assuming the commanders aren't too worried about the fact that he obliviously hung out with Nurah.

Cernandlon will be there, with the justification that demons might show up to rescue their ally.

I think most of us are aware of standard Crusader policy on traitors in the ranks. However, I don't think that outright executing her at this stage is necessarily the right course of action. Though she may have sold countless secrets to the enemy, she may yet have information that could save lives.

That, and she doesn't read quite as evil as you would expect for someone who sold their soul to demons..."

Epicette raises a hand in agreement.

"Although she was caught and browbeated into it, I do believe her cooperation warrants us giving her a second chance. I'm not saying that we should start trusting her again and letting her do as she likes. But she does know plenty of information about the enemy, and we should give her an opportunity to turn what she knows to the right cause. If she can achieved that, then maybe there is still a path to redemption for her."

"Based upon that idea, I would propose that we hold her in captive status until after the siege of Dreznen, when we can reassess her guilt. Although I admit that this does bring up the difficulty of trying to keep watch on a spellcaster of illusions and enchantment."

Henric nods in agreement as well. "If we can make as much progress in redeeming Millorn as we have, then someone who appears to be essentially acting out of misguided good intentions should definitely be redeemable."

(Know[arcane] to come up with ideas for watching her reasonably effectively, 1d20+12=32 - the best the tired player has at 2315 after a long day is to have a rotation of folks concentrating on Detect Magic...)

Cernandlon cringes at the thought of allowing mercy for a blasted demon-follower, but will not speak up in opposition to the plan unless other commanders do.

Malorix is of mixed opinion, but will stand by Daveed's decision.

Aron's eyes betray a rage far greater than his words carry. "Redemption? She deserves nothing of the sort. Standard procedure is execution for a reason. Someone willing to subject their countrymen to demonic possession after how hard we fought to reclaim Kenabres deserve whatever judgement the gods place on them. If for no other reason than justice to the men whom she has endangered or killed by sending them into ambushes."

Aravashnial gives his agreement to Aron with a simple short comment. "She put in with the demons, and should pay the price. Your own country says that price is her life."

Sosiel remains silent, clearly pondering Daveed's unexpected proposal.

Irabeth responds "While I'm not against your proposal Sir Daveed, I'm not entirely sure it'll be great for morale to be going into the Worldwound with a known traitor amongst our number, even under guard. There is already enough concern about the trip. If we can manage the rest of the troops, then I think keeping her alive can still be useful when we make it to Drezen. As for redemption... maybe we should ask Millorn what he thinks, having recently started down that road?"

Cernandlon was about to speak up to agree with Aravashnial, but Irabeth's statement gives him pause. "Millorn did not consort with demons while he was beneath Kenabres, nor did he betray the crusade - since he was never part of the crusade."
