Part 1: The Crusader's March

"I guess that kind of information may be compartmentalized anyway," Epicette shrugged. Then turning to Nurah: "does the fortress' garrison know about our coming?" ( Sense motive 7+13 = 20 )

"I don't know. I haven't checked in since before I made it to kenabres. " she says, recovering a little resolve. "Now I have a request of you. I know what happens to traitors. When it happens, let Aron be the one to do it." This last sentence is said with the weight of someone accepting their fate.

"The exact nature of your fate will be decided later. We need to resume our march before the day escapes us. In the meantime, you will surrender your possessions and remain bound. If you make any attempt to escape or otherwise further sabotage this mission, your will be executed on the spot. Do you understand me?"

"Aye." She says as she hangs her head again.

"Let's get the column moving." Daveed said, heading out of his tent.

The column continues it's march towards Keepers Canyon, but you notice that the songs aren't as jovial as you'd expect after such a one sided win. Hushed whispers flow through the column, and rumors are starting to spread about the new "prisoner". You finish your march uninterrupted, and setup camp that night. Your maps put you about 2 hours march from Keeper's Canyon. (Night actions please)

[Before dinner] Epicette suggests Daveed make an announcement or something at dinner to quell the soldiers' doubts. Without official words rumors are just going to grow out of hand.

While setting up camp, Epicette takes out her Harrow Deck and does an to see if encamping a mere two hours away from the enemy is a good idea or not (77% success chance).

She helps make the dinner (Cooking +13) as usual with the help of the Unseen Crafters. Using 3 set-aside slots + Mythic Wild Arcana, she replaces/resets the crafters.
( I'm just going to prep 1 Unseen Crafter/day from now on so they're on a rotating reset basis )

After dinner she runs some more hit&run drill with the mongrelfolk. We'll be upon Keeper's Canyon tomorrow, which means a battle is looming. Hopefully some training for confidence plus the exercise after all day's ride will help them sleep better.

Spends the first 4hrs crafting a Harness of Hiding for Reverie, then sleep (2hrs) + joins Irabeth on last watch while examining Nurah's scrolls/prep spells.

Daveed agrees, and while the troops are gathered just before dinner he explains to them the situation with Nurah. But, he makes sure to include some bolstering words of encouragement.

Malorix uses his evening to get to know Aron, and provide what consolation he can concerning his little friend's betrayal. (Diplomacy: 14+6=20)

Epicette's crafting goes well for the night, the troops are taking to their training well, you suspect that within a week you might have the formation come second nature to the men.

Daveed's speech is relatively well received (i.e. the rumors seem to be stopping and the soldiers less scared)

Malorix spends some time with Aron sharing some stories of Ragthiel's battles, and seems to hearten him. While sharing some ale he tells you the story of where he was when you destroyed the wardstone, and how the release of energy saved him and the people he was protecting from demons that were about to kill him.

Henric grabs Millorn to do some research on shadowblood and see if they can figure out a way to deal with any potential addiction. He also recharges his stick.

Henric and Millorn realize that they can create a spell to change shadowblood to harmless water, which would at least blunt the effects for anyone suffering from possession (mechanically, it would give them another save, possibly without the penalty) but that they wouldn't be able to exorcise possessions or cure the addiction without help from a divine caster or at least an alchemist. Given this, Henric goes and asks Malorix if he'd be willing to join them in researching a more thorough cure. (Scott, this would use up part of your night action.)

Shadowblood itself may also have uses as an advanced material component to inflict save penalties on demons, but Henric's a little leery of keeping it around that long, especially when most of his spells don't have saves.
