After all the things Hulrun did in the inheritor's name, Epicette was a little skeptical... and more than dazed by what just happened.

"That... was the inheritor and not us playing into some cunning demonic ploy, right? I mean, we did just destroy a sacred artifact that's kept Mendev safe for generations. I'd thought she would be a little angry."

"Something tells me the Inheritor would understand in this case, Epi. Also, if this was a demonic ploy, I'm not sure how filling us with divine power aided that." Daveed answered, the light from his weapon and eyes beginning to die down.

"Power corrupts?" Epicette raised, but not seriously. "I do think you're right. I'm just wary. Too much righteousness can often be a bad thing." She then looks down at her fresh power encircling her hands, "and this feels weird."

Malorix takes even longer to snap out of it than Daveed, totally missing the conversation with Epicette, as he processes what just happened. One does not get kissed by a goddess or infused with holy power every day, after all. His hand drifts up to his forehead, and discovers that his left horn has broken off near the base. "Huh... did that happen during the explosion? Or when..."

He shakes his head and comes to his senses. "So...um... now what?"

"We report back." Daveed answers. "Hopefully our Descendant allies managed to survive".

"We have won but an opening battle in the war to determine the fate of the Worldwound and Golarion," Cernandlon says, wondering what the fate of the rest of the wardstones was, "We've halted Areelu Vorlesh's immediate plans, but I worry about if all that holy power drained from the barrier the wardstones create. We might have won this battle only to create a hole elsewhere."

(Rest of post subject to change dependent on DM's interpretation of the Legendary Item rules)
Cernandlon glanced down at his bow, which suddenly seemed more ornate, with elaborate details he never remembered carving into it, and the name GildaecĂș etched into it.

Henric is positively sizzling with arcane power. "I certainly hope they're okay - I don't care how awesome we are, the five of us can't hold off the entire armies of hell on our own!"

(Well, let's get this show on the road already)

We go back to the entrance to meet up with the First Descendants we left guarding the front gate, and them proceed on to return to Defender's Heart with our excessive of goods

(In addition to reporting in on the destroying of the wardstone remnants, we also have Irabeth's sword for returning + documents on troop deployment/movements within the Worldwound that could be useful to pass up)

"Before we go, we may wish to see if our enemies have anything useful on them. They certainly won't be needing such items anymore." Says the Paladin.

Said Paladin proceeds to loot the room.

[ Epicette's spellcraft take10 with Detect Magic is now... 26 =) ]

Sweep and scan. Epicette also examines the remnants of the wardstone to see if she may notice any interesting information.

(Craft [Alchemy] Check: 1d20+6 = 17)

Cernandlon remembers that minotaur horns a rare ingredient in alchemical formulae, and that they could probably sell them for a decent price. Also, the fact that the minotaur was fiendish would mean that the horns would fetch a higher price from the right buyer. "Anyone think they can saw off the horns from the minotaur?" he asks, "Minotaur horns fetch a good price with alchemists, and fiendish ones doubly so."

"If you think harvesting them would aid our cause, then do so. Otherwise, let's get moving."

"I don't think we brought a hacksaw," Epicette shrugged back to Cernandlon. "You could just bring the whole head. I'm sure some Mendevian would enjoy a trophy made from it. Not the best of tastes, but fatter war purses do save lives."

"If all we want is the horns, I can melt the rest of the face off with my acid."
