After you conclude your business in Neathholm and say goodbye to Anevia and Aravashnial you return to Chief Sull, who guides you to one of the many doors that leads to his hamlet. He wishes you luck as you make your way down the tunnel.
His cache of potions contains: 6 Cure Light Wounds potions and 3 potions of Lesser Restoration
Without having to worry about the injured your pace is considerably faster. after only 13 minutes of walking the tunnel narrows down to a 5ft wide passageway carved with picks and chissels.
What are you doing for light sources, and what is marching order?
Gwerm cannot see in the dark and would prefer to have at least one person behind him.
Party buffs: Bless ~16 hours

Daveed suggests the following marching order:
Sir Cernandlon
Daveed
Henric
Gwerm
Epicette
Mallorix
Should allow for a reasonably defensible formation.

Malorix concurs with Daveed's suggestion. As for light... I dunno. Ask the mages.

Epicette casts Light on Gwerm's rapier blade (so he can extinguish it by sheathing it if we need), and renews it when necessary.
(as much as it would be to our advantage, kinda unreasonable to ask someone to walk in the dark).
She also puts the Chain Shirt on over her clothing... better than nothing.
(Anyone else wanna be quartermaster? If not I'll do it since we keep avoiding the lootsplitting issue)
6 Cure Light Wounds potions and 3 potions of Lesser Restoration -- 1 CLW potion to each of us (including Gwerm, in case he needs it), and the restoration pots to Daveed, Malorix, and Henric (since most ability penalty is taken in melee, and Henric has lowest range).

You see that you are about 80ft from the entrance to a small cavern (40ft from the edge of Gwerms light) though there are no light sources in the cavern. [You also know that the mongrelfolk have darkvision from your time in Neathholm]

Daveed activates his Scale of Terendelev, and whispers to Sir Cernandlon, "Perhaps a bit of scouting?"

"Aye, we should see if it is clear to move ahead," Cernandlon replies before attempting to move forward stealthily to see what is ahead.

Cernandlon sneaks back to Daveed. "20 foot diameter cavern, wood and loose rock barricade through it, with a wooden screen at the other end and 2 mongrelman guards," he whispers.

"What do you think? Should we try to lure them further away, or move in and attack them directly?" Daveed whispers to the group.

Epicette shook her head, and explained in a wispy voice: "No, they're sentries. If there's one thing I've learned from Captain Vrikadan -- he's a Worldwound patrol captain I once fought under -- it's that you always take the fight to sentries. Any hints suspicious enough to lure them out will also put them on guard, ready to sound the alert at the slightest spook. We should sneak in as close as cover will allow us -- that means you'll need to stay back Mr. Gwerm---" she gave him an apologetic nod "--and ambush them from there. If we're lucky, they'll be... out, with the first volley."
She then pulled off her chain shirt and stuffed it just inside the backpack.

"A reasonable conclusion. Unfortunately, I lack a ranged weapon."

"Just as well, Daveed. You and I are probably rather.... poor when it comes to stealth. I believe this may be Cernandlon's and Epi's show."

Henric coughs slightly. "There is another person here with ranged attacks, you know. I may be fairly short-ranged, at only 30', and not specialized in stealth, but I don't have anything that makes me unstealthy either."

"Alright, Malorix and I will prepare to attack once Sir Cernandlon, Epi, and Henric, fire their first volley. Sir Cernandlon, we move on your mark."
