Part 3: Amid the Ruins

Henric catches up to Malorix and levitates Anevia to speed the party up.

Cernandlon sneaks out of his room into the corridor.
(Stealth: 1d20+19 = 27)

The group gathers in the alleyway and Henric's scale activates, Anevia starts reaching for anything to stabilize her as the small clouds rise beneath her feet and she floats up a few inches into the air. You can hear the front door to the inn slam open and footsteps are headed towards the building.

"Alright, everyone, move down this alley. Cernandlon, you'll hold up the rear with me." Daveed said as quietly as he could, motioning towards the alley (the one leading north on the map).

Malorix nods. "They're coming from the east and west, so north is the way to go. Miss Anevia, if I may?" He takes Anevia's hand and gently guides her along up the north alley.

Since Cernandlon and Daveed are bringing up the rear, Epicette goes back up front to scout ahead of the group. She also sends Eclair 20ft ahead of her with orders to return and relay creatures/numbers if he discover any, while Reverie goes up to hover just above the rooftops for the same thing as they travel north.

You all begin to run down the alleyway as the enemies start raiding the inn. Cernandlon notices that one of the rangers sounds like he's approaching them. Dex checks from everyone and whoever has ranks may make Know[Arch/Eng] or Know[Local] to assist in losing the ranger (who is presumably calling some subset of the enemies to follow you)

Daveed, not knowing much about this pursuit business keeps eyes on the rear, and his shield ready to deflect any incoming attacks.

(DEX: d20=14; Know:Local: 19+3=22) Being of the local populace himself, Malorix lends the aid of his local knowledge to his foreign-born compatriots.

Henric runs. And runs.

As you begin running through the streets, Malorix's knowledge of the area serves to aid in putting some distance between you, and Epicette is able to identify a building that is about to crumble. As you hurry past it, the upper levels sloughs off blocking the road behind you giving making you pretty sure your trail is lost. Fortunately your path has brought you back near Gwerm's residence.

"Everyone inside. Now." Daveed commands, walking towards Gwerm's Manor.
