as Daveed enters the small 30ft cavern, he hears an aggrivated hissing , and a snake rears up in a striking position from behind one of the rock piles. It appears to be a little wounded from the recently falling rocks but is plenty pissed to be disturbed by your walking into it's territory. it is 20ft away from Daveed.

INITIATIVE AND FIRST ROUND EVERYONE!

Daveed maintains his defensive posture, and assuming no-one runs in front of him, will advance and attack the snake (unless the snake has come to him).

Henric shifts to K8 behind Daveed and launches a small glob of acid at the snake.

Not trusting herself to shoot through all these anxiety figures before her (and to conserve ammo in a case of probable overkill), Epicette stepped past Cernandlon and simply slashed her finger down towards the snake.

Seeing a potential threat in the form of the snake's venom, Cernandlon shifts his position as he draws two arrows, and then rapidly fires both of them at the snake.

Malorix moves to K9 and makes ready to attack the snake if it approaches him.

As the snake rears up and prepares to strike one of Cernandlon's arrows strikes it in the tail, pinning it. Henric unleashes a blob of acid, blinding the wounded snake, before Cernandlon's second arrow finishes the job.

80XP for all! You have 1 snake skin, about enough to make a pouch or wallet should someone have Craft(leatherwork). A Craft(Alchemy) check can be made to extract poison from the snake as well.

After about 25 minutes of continuing on though the tunnel you reach a junction. To the north a 5ft wide opening in the wall leads to a cave filled with a soft but nasty looking green light. The tunnel itself continues south east looking like a normal tunnel.

"Alright everyone. Opinions. Go." Daveed stated, after bringing the group to a halt.

"I say we try to get a better look at what's producing that light, preferably without being seen by whatever's producing it, and then take the other route if necessary. I'm not entirely sure how we'll manage the whole stealth thing, but I'm sure it'll be fine." Henric shrugs. "There should at least be something more interesting than snakes or cockroaches there."

Anevia: "I don't know that i like the look of that light but it could mean somewhere to rest for a bit."

Aravashnial: "A green light? Hmm..." he ponders. "Might be a group that helped cause what happened up there. Could be some valuable information that way."

Mr. Gwerm: "Ar you guys crazy? I said get me out of here alive and WELL! Does that green light look WELL to you? I say we take the normal looking tunnel."

"Mr. Gwerm, consider this. If there is something nasty in that tunnel, then would it not be better to deal with it now, rather then running the running the risk of something running after us later."

"In other words, deal with it now or have it bite us in the ass later, probably while we're fighting something else. If it's hostile and mobile. Personally, I like Henric's idea, but stealth is REALLY not my strong suit. I don't suppose anyone has skills in that area?"

"alright fine, you guys are the pros right?" Gwerm says quieting back down again.

As those who decide to investigate a little round two corners and see the following:

A single sizable 20-foot-tall building remains in the center of this 30-foot-high cave, a bunkerlike structure with no windows and walls of worked stone blocks. A 10-foot-long carving of a hammer decorates the building’s facade. The ruins of collapsed outbuildings stand to either side.
