So let's sell off the stuff we don't want to keep...
Masterwork Chain Shirt (Bapho Crusaders) x 1 - 250gps market price
Glaive x 2 - 8gps MP
Spiked Gauntlet x 2 - 5gps MP
Total 276/2 = 138gps -- so 27gps each and 3 gps leftover

Bringing the holy symbol and other chain shirt back up. I'm keeping chain shirt for now in case I could use the AC and willing to suck up the ASF.

As for the gold, from both the crusaders and here... in times past squads often put together a party fund for shared items. It's bit early to propose deducting a % amount from loots, but I recommend we toss in the extra gold into party funding. Thoughts?

Buying:
Mwk Artisan Tools
Hemp Rope
Also dropping by witch's place to request what spells she has and what cost she's willing to have her familiar teach mine for (no material cost for this, just time). I'm considering leaving a familiar here for a while... (diplo for witch: 17+1 = 18)
Also some tailoring materials -- probably the best they have since I'm planning to make glamerweave

whoever is doing the selling please make a diplomacy check to influence market reaction to you. This will affect sell value and prices relative to listed market value.

I think tossing the gold into a party fund would be a wise plan at this point.

Daveed would also like to buy his rope, and at least three days of trail rations.

(Diplomacy: 1d20+11= 13)

Gives Daveed an aid another while shopping and hope for best...

Daveed is convinced that the rope is hard to come by and that the food is top quality (buying at 105% market value aka 5% markup DM note: I rolled well on opposed diplo)

The witch sees Epicette's desire and knows that she will be working to help clear the traitors. as such she offers to trade her spells 1:1 and/or will teach them at a 7% discount (93% of market value)

(result of gchat discussions)

Epicette buys a set of Mwk Artisan Tools (Tailoring).
She leaves Eclair at the Witch's home for a day or two to trade spells, getting Sanctuary, Comprehend Languages, Detect Secret Doors, Diagnose Disease, Identify, Remove Sickness in exchange of six of hers (takes 12hours not including resting).

(Spellcraft to learn from scroll: 19+9 = 28)
(Spellcrafts to learn from familiar:
14+9 = 23
16+9 = 25
13+9 = 22
3+9 = 12 Failed to learn Diagnose Disease.
8+9 = 17
11+9 = 20)

Edit: I'll take the mace.

Also, Daveed buys the supplies.

Squall : to expedite Friday night's session, here are some of my actions when getting back to town...

1. Selling loot marked for sale in first post. Can you take a look at the pricing (market value) and tell me if they'll sell as intended or not...
2. Trying to learn that one spell I failed on (Diagnose Disease) a second time, after leveling up (Spellcraft 13+10=23).
3. Will be informing Anevia and Aravashnial (and Gwerm) about the cultist note we discovered. Just forewarning so you can prepare a response.

5. Recommends Daveed buy a set or two of manacles, given how many prisoners we keep taking, and since prisoners can't eventually struggle out of manacles like they could with rope (requires more than just a take20).

I wonder, is there a way to "clean" that prayer book and rededicate it? I doubt it, but we did it with that shrine before...

Ummm....no. Unless you have some way to erase all the text and rewrite it.

Actually... I think there are cantrips for that. Erase at least, and a SpC one that copies a book.

Yeah, but that's more of remaking the book, rather than rededicating it.

Due to the huge price differences between magical loot that we can use and all other goods that we sell for gold this campaign, I've been trying to come up with a relatively fair method but not overcomplicated method of loot/gold division. Here's the proposal I'd like to forward to the players:

1. Alchemy Goods, Potions, Scrolls, and most mundane consumables/goods may be claimed as long as you have a workable reason, because it's too much of a hassle to keep track of them all the cheap stuff. If there is a conflict, either (1) the players can agree to something or (2) whichever player agrees to take 'debt' for it wins or (3) the party can take a vote. Since Epicette tends to identify the most, I tend to follow it up with a recommendation, but don't hesitate to speak up.

2. Claims on goods 1,000gps of value or above, typically magical items, will incur a 'loot debt' of roughly 75% (rounded down to the nearest hundred) of the claimed item's value. This 'loot debt' does not mean you need to pay back to the party pool immediately, but that you will not receive party gold splits until the debt is repaid from the gold share you would have gotten.
[ I came up with 75% rounded down (so 72~75%) since we can often sell items higher than the 50% market sale price. Once more crafting is available and we're not paying 100% of most purchases, this conversion ratio will go down to the percent the party crafter is willing to craft for (for that item type) ].

3. If, at any point, you wish to return the item back to the party pool, you will be refunded loot debt at the time-of-return ratio. (i.e. if Scott wants to return the morningstar because there's a +2 mace available). However, this will only reduce 'debt', but will not refund to gold. Think of it as store credits.

4. Goods that can easily be used among different party members (i.e. Daveed's Ring of Climbing) doesn't incur 'loot debt' as long as you're willing to keep it listed on party resources list. This means non-combat gear for obvious reasons.

5. If there is a conflict between two claims, two players can bid each other by offering to incur a greater 'loot debt'. Player that wins gets it.

6. Not abuseproof obviously, but we all know each other =P

Thoughts?

From the latest meetings and gear swapping, the current loot debt would be incurred if this rule goes:
+1 Light Wooden Shield: 800gps (Scott)- Village merchant are willing to trade their +1 buckler for this, according to Squall.
Radiance: 3,200gps (Drew)- we only know this as a +1 Cold Iron longsword for now, so calculating as such.

Sounds reasonable to me.
