I laughed my ass off when I saw that, way to go Rich.

but yeah, +7 weapon? No I think Roy has better (+5 Starmetal Undead(Bane) whatever...), but still Haley that's dam nice, not to mention it looks like she secured herself a few Hand Crossbows. TWF TWF!!! Dual hand-crossbow fighting would make her "Initiative-sneak-attack" go awesomely

Well, that's why I said LIVING member. I wasn't quite sure what property that was on Roy's sword (remember, it kicked in while he was fighting Sabine too) but I'm pretty sure it does outclass this somewhat.

You know, even though V is married, I'd never considered (s)he would have kids. Most adventurers don't, to avoid exactly this sort of situation as well as the fact that adventuring is a pretty high-risk profession.

I always assumed that since it's a high risk occupation and one fit for the youngest ones who still have that adventurous spirit, it's typically only for people who haven't established families anyways. Think of a fresh college graduate continuously shifting between jobs, after all. Once people built up a family, then they settle down to one spot and one job (shrug)

as for lack of connections, that cause PCs are too lazy =P

That, and the fact that a lot of people are uncomfortable about trying to RP a relationship between PC and NPC (i.e. DM) and/or among PCs. (This I call the "Kati/Jens Effect.")

And another thing to consider in this particular case. V's specific words to Qarr regarding his offer, apart from "disintegrate," were something to the effect of "It will take more than a few misplaced acquaintances to make me ally with the forces of darkness."

Well, an Ancient black dragon out to kill your children is CONSIDERABLY more than a few misplaced acquinatances. Qarr may have a shot at this yet...
