Either that, or the keep an Ulrich-esque character around, while the bad guys have like, a level 1 commoner who put all his skills into UMD and was handed a Wand of Cure light wounds.

I dunno, that whole "I don't want anyone I care about to get hurt, even if they are evil SOBs" bit strikes me as a fairly good-aligned perspective. We'll see, I suppose.

Well, Belkar's had his hallucinatory revelation. I'm betting maybe one more strip, if that, then the theves' guild gets the door open and the cleric panics and removes his curse for free, just to save his own ass. Sound plausible?

assuming they get it open that fast.
1. that's probably at least a complex lock, and with negative penalties from the fog...
2. rogues don't exactly have good str checks to push it open
3. cleric has already started for a few minutes.

but then, even with sending done I guess reinforcements won't come in time, so yeah... awaken belkar
