(08:34:55 PM) Laharl01: As a representative of Boromar, I've got certain intelligence-gathering responsibilities. As such, I've volunteered as an extra bouncer for tonight. Would you all be willing to join me? Oh, and make sure one survives."

(08:36:17 PM) Eric: "Yeah, I'm up for a good fight. A strong reputation calls forth strong crew. but a Survivor? Why?"
(08:38:18 PM) Laharl01: "Daask is a newcomer syndicate that's been quite aggressive lately. They tend to use rather more muscular tactics than we at Boromar."
(08:41:13 PM) Drew: "You will have to pardon me. I am not of this nation, nor this continent. As such, I now not of this Boromar either."
(08:42:17 PM) Laharl01: "Sorry, Sharn and its affairs loom so large in the minds of those of us who live here that we can't imagine anyone not knowing of them. The Boromar Syndicate is Sharn's oldest and most powerful organized crime group."
(08:42:43 PM) Drew: "Ah."
(08:44:06 PM) Eric: "Alright, so now that we know why we're being attacked, why are we letting one of them live? You wanna interrogate him?"
(08:44:59 PM) Drew: "Though I do not delight in the notion of making the affairs of either of these families my own, I do you all a debt for my rescue."

(08:47:03 PM) Laharl01: "I have a tracking device we can pin on him, as well as a recording device if I get the chance. Interrogation is always a possibility, though I'd rather leave nothing linking us to Boromar."

(08:48:24 PM) Eric: "Or we could offer him the chance to defect. I could use a strong crew member."

(08:51:19 PM) Eric: "eh alright. One survivor it is. Should I send for Nemo, or you think we can handle it? I don't wanna get my rookies involved here."

(08:53:30 PM) Laharl01: "Honestly, I'm not sure we'll need Nemo. It should be fairly straightforward, in all honesty. Let them come in, get the drop on them, "convince" them to leave, possibly with the application of force."

(08:55:58 PM) Drew: "These gauntlets I wear allow me control light within about 80 feet."

(08:57:19 PM) Laharl01: "An interesting thought. Darkness is out, most of Daask's toughs are hobgobins and other such races that see just fine in the dark. The bright light...that has possibilities, though."
(08:58:17 PM) Drew: "The light I speak of was what was gave our position out to you in the water." Calen said with a hint of a smile.
(09:01:00 PM) Laharl01: "Oh. Yes, that will do very well, as long as the rest of us have sufficient warning to close our eyes."

(10:03:57 PM) Marty: Time dissolves into a blur as the DM warps Eberron's space-time continuum like some kind of black hole for the sake of expediting this. Trunac and Manta reach an agreement over the ale and Bartz returns with a cart.
(10:04:00 PM) Marty: The ale is loaded onto it and he heads back to the HQ. Meanwhile, patrons come and go. It is about 9PM now, the band is still playing, and the patrons are still lively.

(10:10:28 PM) Marty: Suddenly a huge crashing noise is heard, and Fist - the Warforged bonucer - is sent flying into the tavern by some unknown force.

(10:29:06 PM) Marty: Suddenly, four chicken-like creatures come flying in through the entrance and charge random patrons.

(10:29:56 PM) Marty: The creatures savagely bite four patrons, who quickly freeze in place and take on a grayish hue.

(10:32:01 PM) Drew: Calen moves forward, turning his bracers to face away from him, and yelling "EXALT"
(10:32:35 PM) Drew: In an instant, a bright blast of light cloaks the room (DC 14 vs. blindness).
(10:34:01 PM) Marty: 3 of the Cockatrices squawk loudly and begin to peck randomly around them, while the fourth appears to have been looking the other way.
(10:34:37 PM) Marty: The voice from the door shouts "Is that all you've got? Fancy light shows?"
(10:34:55 PM) Laharl01: "That was just a warmup. Why don't you come in here and see for yourself exactly what we have?"
(10:35:15 PM) Eric: "Not all light is harmless."
(10:35:29 PM) Marty: "Silence maggot! You shall receive your due punishment very soon!"

(10:36:48 PM) Drew: After the bright flash, Calen calls forth a shield of force around himself, and prepares for battle. (Standard for Force Shield).

(10:38:53 PM) Eric: "This is it? I hunted these for fun when I was a kitten!" Felix calls as he leaps forth and attacks the unblinded bird.

(10:48:27 PM) Marty: The remaining 2 employees draw implements of combat from hidden places as Fist pulls himself back to his feet.

(10:51:50 PM) Eric: "You think that quantity matters?" *pew pew laser noises!* Eldritch blast at the wounded bird. Touch:24, damage 25
(10:54:03 PM) Marty: The blast of eldritch power flies towards the bird and collides with a sickening "plop"
(10:54:16 PM) Marty: The bird's body explodes in a gooey, bloody mess.
(10:55:56 PM) Eric: Manta then stands up (thats right, the shot was from sitting down!) "I can do that ALL day long." he says with a grin
(10:57:02 PM) Marty: Suddenly (yes, i like that word), a large figure erupts from the entryway and charges towards Aiolos
(11:00:03 PM) Marty: The figure is a hulking brute wielding a large greatsword, it charges into Aiolos and swings its sword wildly, slashing Aiolos brutally.

(11:01:43 PM) Laharl01: Aiolos is bleeding pretty hard after that, and he'd really rather not get hit like that again...

(11:10:08 PM) Marty: Your blade finds a chink in the ogre's plate armor and penetrates, but does not seem to deal as much damage as you thought it would.

(11:13:26 PM) Marty: The birds peck randomly around them, but can't hit any targets in their blind rage

(11:42:57 PM) Marty: The goblins look at you and fear grows over their faces. Some of them flee out of the window, and others drop their weapons and prostrate themselves on the floor.

(11:44:47 PM) Marty: The brute on the floor continues to snore, and the wounds on his bum, continue to run.

(11:49:34 PM) Laharl01: Aiolos pulls out a tracer and shoves it into a large wound in the ogre mage, trying to get it pretty far in. "Let's make sure he stays out long enough for this wound to heal over, shall we?"

(11:56:31 PM) Marty: Aiolos is not able to get the tracer to stay in
(11:57:02 PM) Marty: the brute's rapidly regenerating hide pushes the tracer outwards as you try to get it to stay in
(11:57:23 PM) Laharl01: Aiolos swears, pulling out his sword. "Looks like I'll have to make a deeper hole..." *stab* *shove*

(11:59:39 PM) Marty: (another round goes by: cocktrices are now all dead)

(12:01:41 AM) Eric: "Now, what to do with you..." Manta says while looking at the goblinoids spread out before him.
(12:02:12 AM) Marty: The arrowhead holds the beacon in place as the flesh over the wound seals

(12:02:38 AM) Laharl01: "Quick, he's about to wake up. Knock him back out!"

(12:05:55 AM) Marty: The goblins and hobgoblins continue to whimper and lay prone on the ground
(12:05:58 AM) Eric: "now, you were not as loyal as your allies who fled, but seemed to trust that surrender meant you'd keep your life."
(12:07:12 AM) Eric: "Now, I'm not a cruel man, and a ship is always in need of strong workers."
(12:09:58 AM) Marty: "We're not worthy, we're not worthy," is all you hear coming from the goblinoids.
(12:11:48 AM) Eric: "No, you're not." Manta said flatly. "But I don't really feel like hiring help. So I offer you the chance to join my crew."
(12:12:10 AM) Laharl01: Aiolos divests the hulking brute of his gear and then hauls him out the door, still unconscious and making sure he has a bumpy trip. "Just taking out the trash."
(12:12:16 AM) Marty: "Please don't hurt us master," they say as the continue to remain prostrate.
(12:13:07 AM) Marty: Fist, the warforged bouncer quickly moves towards Aiolos and takes hold of the other end of the brute, helping you move the hulking figure.
(12:13:30 AM) Eric: "You will live on my ship, eat what i give you, do what I tell you, when I tell you, and I'll make loyal sailors out of you. It will be hard."
(12:14:10 AM) Laharl01: Aiolos nods his appreciation. Once they're out the door, he mutters, "Let's get this guy to a back alley someplace."
(12:14:19 AM) Marty: "We obey master, master is fair"
(12:14:20 AM) Eric: "However, look at yourselves now. Groveling on the floor of a tavern, as your leader is carried outside."
(12:14:54 AM) Eric: "Alright, well. Stand up then. I can't have part of my crew groveling in public.
(12:15:10 AM) Eric: hand me your weapons. You won't be using them for some time.
(12:16:55 AM) Marty: "Yes master," the goblins intone as one and they all stand up in unison like some hive minded creature. They all drop their weapons simultaneously, the objects clattering the floor.
(12:19:22 AM) Eric: "Now, help clean up the mess left by your birds. I want this place clean and serviceable just the way it was before you arrived."
(12:19:40 AM) Marty: After some time, Aiolos and Fist find a convinient alley and leave Tozogg there.
(12:19:49 AM) Laharl01: (beat me to it
)(12:20:25 AM) Laharl01: "Let's get back to the bar, I wanna see how many the captain's scared into service..." Aiolos heads back.
(12:21:08 AM) Marty: The goblins quickly set to work disposing of the cockatrice carcasses. The hobgoblins start moving glass and debris from the window out of the room.
(12:21:39 AM) Marty: One of the employees, a cleric by her dress and the fact she was wielding a mace earlier sets about de-petrifying the patrons that were bitten by the cockatrices.
(12:21:40 AM) Eric: Manta then walks around collecting the various fallen weapons, and setting them behind the bar.
