Likely Itinerary:
Converge at designated departure zone two days before the Convention.
Spend the entire next day driving to Indy.
CON! CON! CON!
Depart Sunday afternoon
Resume boring, non-Gen Con, existence.

Considerations for Gen Con 2017
Price hikes should be expected: possibly for badges, likely for room, travel, food
Let's really do our homework for lodgings nex year.

I will pre-emptively reserve lodging in the usual place as a precaution. But remember, we can't go too far from the convention center because I have to be there at the crack of dawn on day 1 for press stuff.

Food costs were pretty much steady this year. But then again, I ate less, so I don't know.

Also: Next year will be the launch of Modiphius's Star Trek Adventures RPG, with their first post-playtesting living campaign kicking off there. So I'll have at least some of that on my plate. And of course more NSDM. It will also be the launch of Paizo's Starfinder (I think), so we'll see what happens with that too.

Lauren and I are both going, separate room again please.

My plan is to do 4 Shadowrun missions, and spend the rest of the time doing other stuff with Lauren.

The SRM Do No Harm was a lot of fun.

As expected, the 4-day, pre-registration cost was hiked to $90. Normal rate will be $120.
