Between all the Prismatic Walls, Walls of Force, Blade Barriers, and similar effects raised, added upon counter-fire from the mages and missile batteries, not a single missile manages to pass through the defenses to reach the Assault Skiffs.

Two of the Assault Skiffs then swiftly came down to land on the ground and disembarked their boarding ramps.

Reynold: "Alright, everyone get on and let's be out of here !"

The survivors of the Misalin expeditionary force surged onto the two skiffs. Meanwhile plasma bolts, bursts, and beams began to cut across the skies in the not-so-distant north where the Imperial frontal units obviously engaged battlemasters - although not many it seems.

Just as the last of the men were getting onboard, another barrage of artillery and rockets swarmed in from above. The withdrawing troops were still sheltered under their pre-erected wars, but most of the Gemstone fleet was out in the open. As the shrapnel and plasma shells began to blow on contact, the Spell-Shield of the Airindale mages and skiffs flared, but they shrugged off the barrage with relative ease - not a single casualty was taken from the latest barrage.

Most of the Airindale mages and Misalin warmages around you suddenly turned about, looking at Derovarr like he was mad.

( range is... maybe half a mile ? Hard to tell. You can roughly see where they are if you have Low-Light Vision. )

The Airindale Assault Skiffs load up everyone and teleports back to their home territory - north of Thatahl Keep, before heading in to the lockdowned area.

Telecomm: Attention! One of my mercenary-scouts has noticed a tactical spell being cast in the cover of both a thunderstorm and a prismatic sphere in the air above Imperial base 22A! I'm guessing its not one of ours.

The command squad ( including Kati ) is making preparations to teleport in with Aelisar, to a location 200ft from Aelisar's tactical spell squads and ~1mile from the Imperial front line.... ( buff casting times ).

However I can tell you based on my scrying several of the Imperial Battle Barges from the nearby bases is headed towards it - they're heavily loaded with troops and equipment and each escorted by large numbers of vehicles. During later in preparations when the landbound Battlemasters were rushing towards the oncoming Imperial line... they suddenly reported coming under Imperial artillery fire. A quick check by the Airindale diviners discerned that they were still a good twenty miles from the Imperial front line.

"That was a lot earlier than expected. We haven't even begun putting up the teleportation circles yet! Should we start preparing teleportation circles or just launch our strike immediately ? "
