Kilar: "No, I'm an infiltrator, not a scout. I can't say my skills will be of much help to you if there's nobody there for me to blend into and no buildings to take cover from. As far as I know, this area where they suspect this stronghold to be is nearly barren and composed of dirt, rocks, and maybe a few shrubs. Exciting place isn't it?"

Note to Judson: You HAVE finished your spellbook. I don't believe in the D&D 1spell/day rule, BUT, you do need to spend 1hr per spell level not to copy down the spell (that doesn't take too long), but to learn the basics of its use.

"My plan is to move invisibly into the area and use a Greater Prying Eyes spell to scour the country for the concealed enemy. Unfortunately, I can't tell if there is anything present unless the eyes it creates report back to me, and the eyes can be destroyed easily if the enemy notices them.

I will move in initially to examine the area with the eyes. If they do not find anything, we can then more closely examine the areas that the eyes did not report back from with divinations such as Arcane Eye or various divinations. If further divinations are blocked, we will know that there is something is there blocking their sight.

I'll need an accurate map of the area to mark off the areas that each eye examines, and I'll need to scribe Greater Prying Eyes into my spellbook.

"Not that magic-based technology is my specialty, but I'm going to suggest that we go with something that we can reform after it gets taken out. There's no need to invest valuable time and money in something that might crap out after a single shot. Then again, I have no idea what a generator to keep this thing running would cost us.

For now, I say we go with the Single Wide-Area Ward with the generator, and when we get some more funds, we can add more layers."

Ulrich: "Aye, I agree with Derrovar. We need to get some sort of shield up NOW, so lets go with the single generator, and upgrade when there is less of a threat."

On May 8th, Derovarr calls a general meeting to begin planning a new attempt to get Commander Lenneth and whatever forces they can to Blackbog. He believes that given the current situation Lenneth and her forces prowess may be vital, specially if they have truly gotten the full attention of the Norinth chain of command. Beyond that, seeing the arrival of a commander as powerful and influential as Lenneth wouldn't kill morale either.

Personally, Derovarr believes that Kilar's Worg Diversion would be the best option, and that it might be a good idea to start performing faints with the illusory troops as soon as possible. Suggesting that if encampment is agitated enough, sending Lenneth's forces to finally rout them may seem more of a correct action.

"Also, if no-one has any objections. Let's get to work on that wide area ward." He added.

Ulrich agrees to the plan, and also request to know what information, if any, our spies have gathered concerning the Misalin public's general view on what's going on, especially with reguards to Kati, Derrovar, Jens and Ulrich's "defection".

Kilar: "As far as I know regarding the defection, Anstrun is flying propaganda that we are indeed... traitors, warlords too desensitized by the slaughter by the conclusion of the war, who are more interested in usurping the control powers in Misalin and becoming tyrants rather than protecting its people. He's using a number of facts to help support his propaganda, including the fact Lenneth did not turn, including me and Kovis having questionable pasts, including Cary having questionable allegiances, even including the fact we chose this dump as our base of operations. The people? A decent portion believes him, some don't, and most simply don't care enough about politics... they just want the war over with so they can start rebuilding their lives."

"Anyone have any ideas for good counter-propaganda? Not being a Misalin native, I don't know what would be the rest way to rile you people up, but I'd say we spread rumors that the Archpriest has fallen from the true path. Make it a theological argument rather than a political one, as I think faith is more important to Misalin and its people than any politics."

"I can't pretend to much of an expert either, but that does sound like the logical course of action. That'd be more up Ulrich's alley, if we were to actually go through with it. As for me, I believe I have a ward to work on."
