Henric's first ray cuts a hard line through a majority of the remaining maggots, his second goes wide, and the third hits the majority of the remaining ones, with the swarm appearing to start dispersing. (Killed the swarm!)


Epicette deftly dodges the grub that leaps at her, and manages to plant her palm firmly on the Bodak's arm, searing it with positive energy.

Cernandlon's arrow thunks solidly into the Bodak, with a wave of psionic energy rippling over the creature as it falls to the ground at Epicette's feet, and starts to disintegrate like the other dead Bodak. (Know: Religion tells you guys this is normal reaction when a Bodak dies, this is already assumed success).


Loot: On the Nabasu you find a +2 Battleaxe.

Jestak still seems to be bleeding from the Grub burrowing through her arm, and has taken CON damage.

Daveed sheathes his sword, and walks over to Jestak, placing an open palm over the wound on her arm.

(Daveed uses Lay on Hands to restore 4d6= 16 hit points and removes the Sickened, Fatigued, and Exhaustion conditions).

"You did well. I'm proud of you."

Cernandlon goes to investigate the various sarcophagi in the room, looking for anything that might identify their occupants or otherwise be of note.

(Perception: 1d20+15 = 23 (25 vs traps, 27 vs evil outsiders, 25 vs aberrations, additional +2 if this counts as urban))

Daveed's healing kills the grub, causing it to fall onto the ground, and pretty much fixes up the wound, though Jestak is still weak from the blood loss.

Cernandlon notes that the Sarcophogi use to have some holy symbol etched into them, but someone scratched them out. Likely as part of defiling the church for the demons.

Epicette asks Malorix if he prepared any Restoration spells. If not, she rummages through the party supplies and hands Jestak a Potion of Lesser Restoration.

Malorix applies a Lesser Restoration to Jestak, curing 3 points of Con damage. "Nice shooting there. So, onwards? Or do we need more healing first?"

Malorix's spell removes most of the Con damage, and you're confident that a good night's rest will have Jestak back to full strength. (1 CON damage remains, 8 hours rest will fix it)

Aravashnial mentions that he can't dismiss his ice spears though they appear to be melting at a moderate pace. You suspect the doorway will become passable in about 10 mins if you don't do anything.

Epicette moves over to the ice pillars to examine them. She then activates her Prehensile Hair and wraps around one of the spears lodged in the doors, seeing if she can snap it apart with her hair's amazing Strength.

Okay bad positioning. She tries to locate a stress fracture in the ice (Knowledge[engineering] 8+16 = 24), wraps her hair there, and tries again.

( anyone who looks closely also notice that her hair is also doing a lot of scrubbing against the melting ice, as though trying to rub off whatever contaminants the undead left on it )

Epicette's second attempt manages to get a grip towards the base of the right spear and pulls it crashing to the floor, opening passage.

"Huh." Daveed commented. Before rearming his sword and moving towards the door.

Unless anyone has an further business in this room, Daveed is ready to proceed.

Cernandlon has no further business in the room and moves to look through the opened passage.

As you move down the hallway with more sarcophagi, you notice that one berth has been moved and a hidden door is left open. You don't detect any traps on the door, but Detect Magic reveals a strong aura of Evocation and Abjuration on the other side.

As everyone seems stumped over how to proceed with this, Epicette decides to cast Unseen Servant and send it into the room to press around a bit, to see if anything triggers.

If not, she asks if Aravashnial has any ideas.

Lastly, do a check-up on her mother's familiar to see how it's doing.
