Manizei pauses for a moment, debating closing in with her claws but, after a brief thought, takes careful aim and fires at the creature.
Hopefully the creature she hits isn't the small bearded one.

The monster does nothing for a week, so you guys are up again.

Niles spends the rounds hurling into a nearby corner (as he did the previous round).

Harskgun returns from GenCon, puts away his cyberdeck, Defiance T-250, Mossberg AM-CMDT, M1 Garand, Remington 950, and medical kit. After remembering where he put his dagger, he spends another round of sacred weapon and attacks the creature once again!

Things appear to be going well for the moment, so Manizei takes a moment to reload her musket instead of closing to attack at close range.

With a final pitiful psychic shriek, the creature dies. 800 XP.

Niles is ready to proceed.

Harskgun finds a small box containing three timeworn flare guns. Furthermore, a few functioning terminals in the bank of equipment on the north wall reveal this room's purpose: namely it was the module's geology lab. The dirt and stone samples on the table to the south seem to have all originated from a planet designated "CX-335," with later addenda referring to that world by a different name, "Kasath." This planet is described as an arid world with very little water and inhabited by an intelligent race noted for multiple limbs. The logs confirm that the habitat module was specifically built to mimic Kasath's dominant environment.

Nobody has the Stargazer trait, so this information may be interesting, but not quite the personal triumph it would otherwise be.

(The way out leads through the southern door, and the blood trail resumes, leading into a door to the east. I'm going to assume you take that door.)

Following the blood trail leads to a long room with metal desks to the north and south, and a pair of odd bedlike tables flanked by curving panels of blinking, pulsing lights. Moving metal armatures extend out over the beds, each outfitted with glowing panes of glass and strangely glowing tools. The room reeks of blood, which appears to have been liberally splashed all over... well, everything.

A drone is milling about in here, much like the one you fought in Torch, but with a slightly different color scheme and what appear to be needles coming out of its fingers. Upon noticing you, it exclaims, in Androffan, "There is no ne-need to st-ruggle. Y-y-you are in safe hands."

It then disproves that statement by attacking. Roll initiative.

The robot dashes forward, announcing "Pl-lease remain ca-alm. You are to under-go a m-m-medical procedure." It stabs Niles square in the arm with one of its needle claws. (take 8 damage and give me a Fortitude save.)

PCs are up.

While she does have her claws for a close-range fight, Manizei continues to rely on her musket, even though she has to take her time to make sure that she doesn't hit Niles with her shot.
