Harskgun spots a trap and shouts out. "Watch out, tripwire!" He points dramatically at the tripwire that other party members are about to walk into.

"Everyone stand back at least ten feet! This shouldn't take too long. I think." Niles exclaims, stowing his bow and pulling out a leather case full of precision tools; almost with a sense of glee.

(Disable Traps: 1d20+9= 24)

Niles expertly disassembles the trap. The spikes the gremlins intended to drop on everyone's heads are now safely stacked in a neat pile in the corner. (135 XP)

Moving on...

The final cave in this network has a wall similar to that in the skulks' cave: smooth gray glaucite, with a circular door in the middle. This door however is shut tight. Of more pressing concern is the larger-than-average gremlin in the middle of the room, who had been sharpening a spike for use in another trap. This gremlin regards you angrily, puffs himself up to his still-pathetic height, and starts yammering at you in Aklo. (I don't think anyone has that language, but even if you did it'd just be "insert C-list villain rant here") All he manages to get across is that his name is Jazvit, he's in charge, and he will make you pay for your transgressions against his blah blah blah.

Roll initative!

"Yes, yes, you're the big bad." Niles states blithely, cutting the chieftan off with an arrow fired at his face.

(1d20+3+1d6= 17; 1d6= 4)

(Initiative: 1d20+2= 14)

(DM edit: Miss. But you do tick him off something fierce.)

Enlali sighs and readies her bardiche. "Maybe they're all so aggressive from lack of sunlight," she muses.

(Initiative: 1d20+0= 18)

(Initiative: 1d20+3 = 12)

Manizei's mismatched eyes narrow as she glares back at the gremlin, readying her weapon. "There is usually good amongst even the worst of creatures, but your kind ... you exist merely to destroy and defile the works of others. To take the beauty that is brought into this world and twist it beyond recognition. Even for Shelyn's sake I can find no mercy for such as you!"
Even though she didn't understand the gremlin and it is likely to equally fail to understand a single word of her own, Manizei doesn't seem to care, although her passionate outburst takes up time that she could better use to actually prepare for this fight.

Enlali takes a couple of steps forward and slashes at the baddie with her bardiche.

Damage: 1d10+4= 13)

Niles attempts another shot at the gremlin, moving as necessary to avoid hitting Enlali.

(1d20+3= 22; 1d6= 5)

(BTW guys, about that initiative list: I should clarify that your actions will resolve in that order. You don't have to post in that order.)

For now, Manizei holds back, her musket needing to be reloaded before it'll be of any actual use. Making sure not to leave herself too open to the gremlins, she sets about that task.

Harskgun moves up while drawing his dagger, and slashes at the foul creature.
