Part 1: The Crusader's March

"One use is probably enough to get us up there, even if we need to shuttle back and forth a little."

Daveed will, via the levitate spell, shuttle up Cernandlon, then Mallorix, and finally Henric. Epi will use her Fly Hex.

The gates to this small courtyard lie smashed and broken with tall grass growing amid the rubble. Two main buildings stand side by side to the east, separated by a single alleyway. The smaller structure appears to be a stable, while the other is much larger with several doors and broken stained-glass windows, apparently a chapel judging by the pious statues along it's rooftop.

Remind me of any buffs you have up including constant ones, and perception checks from everyone. Map linked in sig (Combat map).

Daveed's sun-mark began to light up as the group made their way forward.

"It was a temple of Sarenrae. I know not what lurks within, but if it is an enemy of The Dawnflower, then it will be undone." Daveed stated with an undercurrent of righteous determination; readying his sword and shield, he began to advance towards the temple.

(Henric casts Mage Armor as a precaution. Perception 1d20+10=29)

Henric nods in response, not wanting to further alert anyone inside.

Cernandlon, despite pulling the age old ostrich trick of "If I can't see you you can't see me" form of sneaking is able to somehow miraculously detect the small pile of bones. Everyone else is able to see it by simply looking at them.

It is sunset and therefore dim light already.

"We'll check out the stables first", Daveed said softly. "Cernandlon will hang back and keep an eye on what's happening outside. Everyone else, follow me."

Daveed then proceeded towards the stable doors.

Daveed opens the creaky stable door, and notices that it's barely hanging on it's hinges. Those of you who choose to follow him are hit by the sharp tang of musty decaying straw that fills the stable. The easternmost wall has collapsed into a steep pile of beams and rocks that blocks the way. There is a large mound of discarded weaponry among the rubble.

Epicette Detect Magic scans the room.
In fact, she's going to start concentrating on it as they explore this place.

If nothing else of interest, she examines the weapon pile and grab what can be used.

Epicette's Detect Magic pays off. She is able to find and ID the following:
+1 Bastard sword
+1 Cold Iron Longspear
3 cold iron daggers
a tattered quiver with 6 cold iron arrows.
