As Daveed kicks open the door you look in and see:
A human male standing in a suit of banded mail with a heavy mace and a light steel shield and identify him as the one barking orders (C)
two Tieflings standing off to the side holding crossbows and snickering (T1 and T2)
4 librarians surrounded by a ring of books (arranged similar to how you'd make a fire circle) (Lib)
and 1 female librarian who seems to be reluctantly getting books from the rubble. (Lib)

You all have a standard action of surprise round to act.

Seeing the 'ring-of-fire' setup of books that reminds her of witch-burnings instantly sends Epicette fuming. Her entire palm comes crashing down as though she was swatting a fly, sending a blast of sleep magic in [C]'s direction (Slumber Hex, DC16, 4rnds)

"Cernandlon, Mallorix, and Millorn, take out the cultists. Everyone else," he says, his eyes and weapon suddenly igniting with golden flames, "Focus on the false knight..."

Malorix gets an extremely dark look on his face at the atrocity unfolding before his eyes, and prays for Ragathiel to guide his blade unto world-class heathen smiting. (Magic Weapon spell)

Cernandlon draws and fires an arrow at the mace-wielding person in charge.

(Damage: 1d8+7 = 13)

Millorn 5ft steps and launches a glob of acid at T1 but misses. Cernandlon's arrow flies past the human, nicking him in the upper thigh where there is a hole in his armor (full damage).
The human seems to lose some focus and starts to lean forward before righting himself (made the save vs sleeping hex).
The female librarian stops what she's doing and runs over to help untie one of the other librarians

Cernandlon is up.

Cernandlon rushes through the door to get a line of fire at the cultists, and fires an arrow at the nearest one.

(Damage: 1d8+7 = 15)

Cernandlon's arrow strikes T1 square in the shoulder. Unfortunately the impact corrected the tieflings aim who retaliates with a bolt to Cernandlon's shoulder, a Critical Hit! 15 points piercing damage. T1 then reloads his light crossbow.

Millorn moves into the building, mumbles a few words in draconic and flicks his dagger at T2 and hits! Enchanted dagger returns to his hand.

The golden flames bursting from Daveed's eyes and Radiance suddenly pacify into a pulsing, golden glow has he presses his attack against the false knight.

Malorix moves up to his 'brother' T1, and makes a concerted effort to part the crossbowman's head from his shoulders. (19+7=26, confirm 15+7=22, damage 9+3=12, extra damage 3+3=6)

Radiance strikes true using Daveed's holy purpose to slice through the knights armor like butter, delivering a 6 inch gash between two of the knights ribs.

Malorix is not quite successful at severing the tiefling's head, but does carve an 8 inch gash trough the demon kin's collar bone.


the knight, realizing just how bad his day got throws down his weapon 'I surrender!" he shouts. "Just don't kill me!" as he drops his weapon, you notice a holy symbol of Iomedae on his shield.

T2, realizing how bad things are going, and seeing the knight surrender, takes a 5ft step back, and then drinks a potion and vanishes from sight.
