Athaulf watches Jonas' deranged eyes twitch as he tries to determine the source of the noise. (Flanking bonus activated).

"Farevar, fall back. I need space!"

Athaulf delays his action until after the ranger.

Faerevar nods, and slides skillfully to the left, lashing out twice towards Jonas as he does. One attack connects, and leaves the deranged warrior with a nasty cut on his right outer thigh.

Athaulf moves back to F5, activates his Heartseeking Amulet, then swings at Jonas with his hammer.

Attack: 1d20+18 = 32 (touch attack)
Damage: 1d12+21 = 31

HP: 79/91
AC: 28

The blow finds its mark, as Athaulf's hammer smashes into the right side of Jonas' torso, causing him to spit forth a considerable amount of blood. While it does not drop him, the assault is powerful enough to wipe the sadistic smile off of his face, and force him into a more cautious stance. Despite this, Jonas presses his attack forward, again stepping towards Athaulf, launching forth another volley of battleaxe swings.

The paladin's strike was true, as it would seem, as only single of the attacks found its mark (14 damage [magic, slashing] to Athaulf).

Satella swings her aspergillum at Jonas, breaking her invisibility as it goes in...

She then steps back (5ft) and expands her shield into full tower mode for full defense (swift), even though it was unbalancing her quite a bit.

AC26, 70/70HP

Satella's attack catches him completely off guard. The shock from the hit causes him to loose some of his balance, fall to his knees, his freed battleaxes clinging against the stone floor.

"Mercy! Mercy!" He says, raising his hands in the air.

Athanor activates his amulet again and swings his hammer once more, this time aiming to knock thevwarrior unconscious rather than kill him.

Attack: 1d20+14 = 22
Damage: 1d12+21 = 25 subdual

The hammer clocks him solidly on the side of the head, and he falls to the ground unconscious.

Faerevar shifts out of his defensive stance, and takes a deep breath, before turning to Satella.

"I do not know you, my lady. But thank you for your assistance. You have helped bring an end to a truly evil creature." He says, offering his hand.

(Back to Dai).

Satella did not shift her glance or show any signs of noticing Faerevar's approach, her shaky eyes were burning with hatred as she stepped up, shrunk her tower shield down to buckler size, and smashed her aspergillum with as much force as she could muster towards Jonas unconscious head...

Blood, bone, and brain were launched across the floor, nearby wall, and the three warriors, as Jonas' life was finally ended. A few, awkward, moments passed as the three stood, almost paralyzed.

"Well then. So much for reading him his final judgement." Faerevar remarked.

(Dai gains 250XP for excellent roleplaying).

(End Combat order).

"That he did, and if he wronged you in some way, then you probably deserved the killing blow more than I." He commented, while brushing off some of the blood-splatter from his robes.

After a few moments cleaning himself off and recollecting his weapons, Faerevar knelt down near Jonas' corpse and looked him over a bit.

"Obviously, if you two had not assisted me, I'd probably be dead now. Unfortunately, I doubt that both of you want to follow me all the way back my dispatch location to collect a share of the reward.

Hmm." He thought aloud, turning Jonas' corpse to a "face" up position.

"Technically, his gear is supposed to be sold, with the proceeds going towards the known families of those he's harmed and the Church of Osirion. But, I'd think that I could spare a few magic items for you folks." He said, beginning to remove items from the body.
